We Built This Differently. Here's Why.

Or: why a small agency with a short client list might be exactly what you're looking for

Corporate culture has a way of making you smaller

There's a version of ambition that asks you to become someone else. More willing to say yes when you mean no, more comfortable performing enthusiasm you don't feel. If you've spent time in corporate marketing, you know exactly what that costs.

I paid it for years. I was good at the work. I was less good at pretending the culture underneath it was fine.

Some exits are actually a beginning

The issue was never the craft. It was the environment: organizations where the loudest voice won regardless of merit, where protecting the brand mattered more than being honest about whether the work was performing, where raising a real concern made you difficult rather than right. I watched good people get ground down. I felt myself starting to.

So I left, and in 2015 I founded Marketing Sweeet, a boutique digital marketing agency built on a different set of assumptions about how good work actually gets done.

The best marketing partner you'll ever work with isn't the one billing the most hours or managing the most accounts. It's the one who isn't depleted. A founder who protects her energy and her judgment brings something to a client relationship that no agency running on obligation and resentment ever can: the willingness to tell you the truth.

When a paid social campaign isn't performing, I say so. When the SEO strategy needs to change, I change it. When the problem isn't the marketing, I'll tell you that too. And when a prospective client isn't the right fit, I pass on the engagement. This makes some people uncomfortable. It keeps every engagement I take on honest.

Marketing Sweeet works with B2C and B2B product brands at the growth stage, companies with something real to build and the patience to build it right. Not every business is a fit, and that selectivity is the point.

Personal balance isn't a wellness concept. It's a business strategy

What we actually do, and how we do it

The services are focused: paid social, SEO, website strategy, and content marketing. What connects them is execution. Not decks about execution. Not quarterly strategy reviews that produce slide templates and to-do lists. Someone actually runs the campaigns, tracks what happens, and adjusts when the data says to. That feedback loop, running continuously with a real person on the other end, is what separates a marketing partner from a marketing vendor.

Small businesses and growing product brands deserve that level of attention. Most big agencies aren't built to give it.

We know exactly what we're building and why

A few years ago, I went through a period that clarified what I was building and why. I came out of it more certain about the clients worth working with, the work worth doing, and the kind of boutique agency Marketing Sweeet is going to be. We don't take every client. We don't execute strategies we don't believe in. We don't confuse activity with progress.

That clarity shows up in the work.

If you're tired of partners who tell you what you want to hear, let's talk.
